How safe is Urethral Sounding?

Surprisingly, it's actually quite safe when done properly and that's not really so hard too do. There are a few risks involved when Urethral Sounding, although they are usually minimal. These risks include urinary tract infections (UTIs) caused by bacteria, tissue damage from improper insertion or from the sound getting stuck. Avoid getting stuck by using plenty of lubricant and not inserting the rod too deep.
How does he safely try Urethral Sounding?
- Sterilise: Always sterilise all toys before using and this includes sounds. Using a dirty toy can introduce harmful bacteria and cause infections.
- Size Matters: Be sure you have the right size for your needs. If it doesn't glide in easily, try turning it to loosen but if it still won't move, try a different size. Never force a rod. - Urinate: Once the rod is removed, pee immediately to release any potential bacteria. Don't be alarmed if you experience a slight burning sensation in your urethral tube a day or two after.
